After years of ill health my GP suggested Dr Maksoud. Considering that I no longer had anything to lose and feeling as though I had a terminal illness I went for a consultation. Having seen numerous doctors and feeling as though no one was listening to what I was saying did not really give me much confidence I said the same to Dr Maksoud. Piece by piece we went through my medical history, everything discussed, blood tests checked and Dr Maksoud worked his way through my medical history. Informing me as to the conditions I had, Slowly and carefully we have worked together to adjust and control all issues as they have arisen. My health is not static, there is no one cure however Dr Maksoud has taught me what to look out for, what to keep check on, and how to adjust things within the limits he sets me. There as been a few bumps in the road and at times it has been a great struggle but I know that whatever comes my way Dr Maksoud is there supporting me and I am forever thankful for his care and dedication to his patients. On the odd occasion where I have had a query the team have always dealt with it usually within a couple of days. The team are also excellent in what they do. I completely trust Dr Maksoud with my care and I think we will be stuck with each other for years to come. I highly recommend Dr Maksoud for his care of patients and dedication to his work. The only criticism I could make is that the phone lines to the team are sometimes to crackly and low in volume. Dr Maksoud is brilliant at what he does, and his teams great to. If they were not I am the sort of character that would tell him, nicely of course.

I have known Dr Maksoud for over 10 years having identified him as the best medical expert to resolve my increasingly serious problems when my GP failed to take them seriously. I found him to be extremely knowledgeable with a very calm and reassuring manner. He took immediate action and his pursuit of a diagnosis was relentless. His ongoing care has been enormously reassuring and I will always be very grateful to him for everything that he has done and continues to do. I have recommended him on a number of occasions and I am so pleased that he has been able to help my friends and family through very difficult and challenging times as he has me.

After seeing several different GPs who were unable to help me I was fortunately given Dr Maksoud's name by way of a recommendation back in 2014. At the time I was barely able to function. I had been diagnosed with hypothyroidism but was struggling to take the medication. At this point I had absolutely no quality of life but Dr Maksoud turned my life around. His professionalism, knowledge, kindness and caring attitude is second to none. He not only listens to his patients but encourages them to ask questions. I will be forever grateful to Dr Hisham Maksoud for his expertise and treatment. I cannot recommend him highly enough.

After having PCOS for nearly 20 years after diagnosis I was at my wits end with my fobbing off by nhs doctors.I was recommended to Dr Maksoud & he was a breath of fresh air, he listened, worked out a plan of treatment &by actioning his plan I have started to sleep all night, I have lost weight, I have more energy & the acne has virtually disappeared. My moods are much less fluctuating apart from some PMT. On my last consultation we talked through other issues I wanted to now tackle( hair loss)& am now following that plan. I have fallen off my diet during intense personal circumstances & lockdown but I will get it under control again. Things to slightly improve on would be that the information given at my consultation regarding diet was too much to take in& would really have liked more written guidance as my diet was completely changing& I felt very overwhelmed& to be honest like I couldn’t make such huge changes. In the early days I dabbled in a keto diet but that was too extreme so I played around&it was working( before I fell off the wagon).

I have been under the care of lovely Dr Maksoud since 2009. I came to him after taking extremely poorly and diagnosed with T1 diabetes and PCOS. I was put on an insulin regime straight away and within a couple of weeks put on nearly 2 stone. I was so poorly and to make things worse i was due to start university literally in a couple of weeks. Dr maksoud was and is AMAZING. That first consultation I was there for an hour or 2 and we went through everything since I was 16 (I was 20 at the time) he looked at pictures of me at this age through to my current age so he could see how I had changed physically. He honestly saved my life as my health was just going so downhill and the other doctors didn’t know what to do with me. He put me on a different insulin and medication regime and reviewed me every 3 months and each consultation he was so thorough and we were never rushed. He takes so much time with every patient, no matter how over ran he is. His mission is to make the life of that individual so much better. He has become a good friend to me and my mum, mum has been there from the start going through this journey with me. I thank Dr Maksoud from the bottom of my heart and I don’t know where I would be now if it wasn’t for him. I am so much healthier now and I am able to exercise 4-5 times a week, my PCOS is slowly improving, I am able to work without constant fatigue and migraines and I am generally a much happier person for it. I urge everyone who is struggling with their PCOS or diabetes or anything endocrine related to see this wonderful Doctor and if you can’t then do read this books and pass on this amazing knowledge to your doctor .
